 OUR JOURNEY 

Founded in 2017 by CEO Greg Hanna, Destiny Copper emerged from Brock University's BioLinc incubator. At Brock, Greg partnered with Dean of Math and Science, and President of Research - Professor Ian Brindle, who finalized the now granted patent. After relocating to the Thorold Multimodal Hub in Ontario’s Niagara Region in 2023, Destiny Copper rapidly expanded its technological and operational capabilities. The dedicated team now comprises twelve specialists, including three PhD-level scientists.

Our Journey So Far

2014

DISCOVERY MADE

In South Africa, a breakthrough is born. An idea to recover ultra-pure copper from industrial waste streams using chemistry, not smelting. This low-emission, high-efficiency approach becomes the seed of Destiny Copper.

2015

DESTINY COPPER IS FOUNDED

With a vision to redefine copper recovery, Destiny Copper is officially founded in Canada. The mission: transform global waste into 99.999% pure copper using proprietary, cleantech chemistry.
